By Jamie Ripp

Suddenly ripped from her boring mundane life, Arri found herself thrown into a world of danger- something that not even her worst nightmares could have prepared her for.  What do you do when you find out your whole life has been one big lie, and worst of all you find out vampires are real and not only have you been living with them, but you’ve been calling them Mom and Dad?  Her own parents had kept their true identity from her, hoping to shield her from the most powerful and evil vampire to walk the face of the Earth, but it was only a matter of time before Nicholas found her, and he was ready to fight- he wouldn’t lose this time.

Finding herself on the run and turning to the most unlikely of friends, Arri doesn’t know who she can trust, and she must remember there’s more to the people than what first meets the eye.  It’s not uncommon to be rubbing shoulders with vampires and werewolves when she turns to others for help, looking for protection in the arms of those that she isn’t so sure she should be trusting, much less falling in love with.

Jamie has done a great job weaving a story that keeps the reader turning the pages as fast as they can to find out how Arri will survive this new attack on her life.  Keeping me on the edge of my seat with action, suspense and the thrill of a paranormal romance, she keeps this romance clean enough for both teens and adults.  Mrs. Ripp reaches all ages with her writing.  I enjoyed reading her story and watching the characters come alive and leap off the pages.  I can’t wait for the other books in the series to continue Arri’s adventures.
