About Me

It’s so much easier to write a review about a great book than it is to write about me, but here it goes.  If there’s anything you should know, it’s this: So Many Books, So Little Time!  I am extremely addicted to books.  I love reading them, buying them, and eventually when I get brave enough writing them.  My husband keeps asking me when I’m going to make my first millions and finish the book I started, I just laugh and tell him that writers don’t make millions and then I open up a book and start reading

I love many different types of genres, but I’m not too ashamed to admit that romance will always be my favorite.  I am a sucker for the relationship that develops between a man and a woman and love watching it come alive in the pages.  Many people ask why I buy books instead of getting them from the library and I answer, “There’s security in knowing that I own these books.”  I love watching my bookshelves fill up with every genre and I am proud of the fact that my children have access to hundreds of children’s books in our home; nothing makes me happier than seeing them around the house with their feet prompt up and a book in their hands.  They are learning to grow their imagination and their creativity is just blossoming.

I found that life as a mom keeps me busy and I was neglecting my books.  I didn’t have enough time to read and it saddened me to watch the books collect dust, knowing that there were worlds out there that I have yet to discover because I hadn’t read in a long time.  I stumbled onto a website that offered books in exchange for reviews.  This gave me deadlines that helped me set aside time to read.  I started finding new authors and new genres that I never even knew about.  As I started writing these reviews I had friends and family tell me that I a talent for writing and needed to start writing my book again.  I’m not quite ready to venture into the book writing, but I’m enjoying writing reviews.  Not only does it give me the opportunity to share great books with others but also it helps me to remember what I’ve read and jump starts my creativity, and makes me give more thought into what went into those pages.  I’ve decided to branch out and start sharing my reviews in my blog and started opening up a social forum to connect with others: Courting Fiction Facebook Page.

I hope my reviews reach out to others and they learn to find the love of reading that I have been blessed with my whole life.
